| Bulletin | Summary |
|---|---|
This bulletin provides information to inspect and replace the front or rear wheel bearing hub assemblies for all Genesis vehicles. This procedure is applicable when noise (whirring, roaring, grinding, rumbling, etc.) is present which gets louder when driving with more speed.
Certain vehicles may experience 504 Time Out errors when using the Genesis Connected Services Mobile App. When asked to provide Modem Information (IMEI/USIM), the Head Unit (HU) displays all zeros. This bulletin describes the procedure to update the Head Unit Software to correct this condition.
Genesis applies a Paint Protection Film (PPF) on new vehicles before delivery to dealerships. It provides a barrier between the paint and contaminants, such as rail dust, acid rain, and industrial fallout. In rare cases, the paint can become clouded under the PPF. These spots are the result of moisture trapped between the PPF and the paint.
This TSB provides a procedure to diagnose and repair a transmission for the following Incorrect Ratio DTC (transmission clutch slipping more than 200 rpm in gear).
This bulletin describes the procedure to inspect and repair a G70 with the Wide Sunroof exhibiting creaking or rattling.
This bulletin provides a procedure to diagnose an 8-speed automatic transaxle with a harsh and/or delayed shift.
This bulletin provides a procedure to transfer oil pressure data to the TCU using GDS Mobile. This procedure is necessary to reduce the TCU learning time and improve the shift quality. Before replacing an automatic transmission: Input the data into the TCU using the GDS. Before replacing a TCU: Back up the oil pressure data from the old TCU into the GDS and then transfer the data to the new TCM.
This bulletin provides a procedure to transfer oil pressure data to the TCU using GDS Mobile. This procedure is necessary to reduce the TCU learning time and improve the shift quality. Before replacing an automatic transmission (Pages 2~3): Input the data from the new transmission into the TCU using the GDS. Before replacing a TCU (Pages 4~6): Back up the oil pressure data from the old TCU into the GDS and then transfer the data to the new TCM.
Certain vehicles (listed below) equipped with the HomeLink5 (Two Way Communication) mirror may experience programming and operating difficulties with the home garage system. This bulletin provides information related to some of the possible symptoms.
If you are servicing a vehicle with a transmission slipping concern, follow the Service Procedure shown below and perform a stall test. This TSB provides a procedure to test each clutch in the transmission. If the vehicle fails the stall test, replace the transmission. PASS: Stall speed is between 1700~2900 rpm (See shop manual for stall speed). FAIL: Engine revs to redline limit (6,000~6,500 rpm). If so, replace the transmission.
This TSB provides a procedure to diagnose and repair a transaxle for the following Incorrect Ratio DTC (transaxle clutch slipping more than 200 rpm in gear).
When servicing a vehicle with a Check Engine light and any of the DTCs listed below, follow the Service Procedure to replace the related solenoid and E-module or park position switch.
This bulletin describes the procedure to inspect and if necessary, repair brake pulsation on dealer stock vehicles only. The procedure described should be preferably performed with the Vehicle Delivery Inspection (VDI) just prior to retail sale. Performing this campaign over 72 hours prior to retail will make the campaign application ineffective.
This bulletin is issued to provide the extended battery diagnosis procedure using GDS. This battery diagnosis function displays the various battery-related faults such as: Internal short circuit Battery deterioration Malfunction of electronic parts Insufficient battery charge Normal battery Charging defect Battery diagnosis uses the battery sensor history saved for the last 30 days and ICU diagnostic communication to track battery state of charge (SOC) and current parasitic draw history.
When servicing an 8-speed automatic transmission vehicle with a Check Engine light and any of the DTCs listed below, follow the Service Procedure and, if necessary, replace the E-module.
This bulletin addresses a condition of Idle Stop Go (ISG) inoperative not turning off the engine and provides information related to an ECU software update for improvement of: - ISG operation in relation to the battery SOH (State Of Health) condition (deleted as a criteria). - ISG engagement with satisfied battery SOC (State Of Charge).
