Fatal crashes in the US
From 2020 to 2023, 1,935 CR-V vehicles were involved in crashes on US public roads in which someone died, and 1,041 people died inside them. These are counts, not crash rates: a model with more cars on the road shows up more often, and people killed outside the vehicle are not counted here.

Litres per 100 km: total fuel used divided by total distance driven, from the car's own fuel consumption meter (OBFCM), collected in 2024 by the manufacturers, mostly remotely, and by national authorities. WLTP figures are the type-approval CO₂ values converted to litres. Hybrids, including mild hybrids, do not plug in; plug-in hybrid figures include the distance driven on electricity. Due to an incorrect marking, the connecting system may have been fitted to the wrong vehicle. In the event of a rear-end collision, the connecting system can come into contact with the Intelligent Power Unit (IPU). This creates a risk of short-circuit in the h…
A reduction in the amount of grease in the steering gearbox during use results in dangerously fluctuating torque during steering. This can create a loss of vehicle's control and increases the risk of accidents and injuries. The product does not comply with the…
Due to a problem during the production process, the vibration of the engine can cause cracks inside the high-pressure fuel pump. This may lead to a fuel leak, increasing the risk of fire. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and mark…
Due to a faulty circuit board in the passenger seat weight sensor, the passenger seat’s occupant detection system may identify a Steering Wheel Sensor (SWS) error and the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) warning light could switch on. This can cause a fault…
The fuel pump impeller's defective molding can cause the impeller to have low density, which can lead to cracking. This can result in the impeller absorbing too much fuel, deforming, and potentially causing the fuel pump to fail. This failure can lead to the e…
The battery cable connecting the battery to the fuse box is not fitted with a fuse. In the event of a collision, the battery cable could be damaged if it is trapped against the vehicle's body. This can lead to a short circuit and possible overheating of the ba…
Due to improper manufacturing of the belt buckle channel, the front seat belt buckles (driver or passenger side) may not lock properly. This could affect the restraining capacity of the safety-belt and increase the risk of injury in the event of an accident. T…
Liquid can accumulate in a gap in the Power Window Master Switch (PWMS) case.As a result, short circuit could occur that can generate heat and cause the PWMS and adjacent parts to overheat, increasing the risk of fire.
The description of the front-seat passenger airbag warning light given in the manual is incorrect. This could lead to a misinterpretation by an occupant of the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury.
Due to inappropriate molding conditions, the density of the resin for the low-pressure fuel pump impeller is reduced, causing it to swell and deform by the fuel. Consequently, the impeller interferes with the pump cover and makes the fuel pump inoperative. As a…
The airbag inflators may be defective and may create excessive internal pressure in the event of activation. As a result, the metal inflator casing may rupture, causing metal fragments to be propelled through the airbag and into the passenger compartment, injur…
During repeated acceleration/deceleration, the emissions control system in the diesel Engine Control Unit (ECU) is unable to prevent sulphur accumulation inside the catalyst due to lack of robustness of the engine control software. This reduces the purificatio…
