Fatal crashes in the US
From 2020 to 2023, 194 RZR vehicles were involved in crashes on US public roads in which someone died, and 188 people died inside them. These are counts, not crash rates: a model with more cars on the road shows up more often, and people killed outside the vehicle are not counted here.

EU safety alerts
Safety Gate, the European Union's rapid alert system, names the RZR in at least 12 alerts. European versions can differ from the North American car.
A missing battery pole cover at the positive pole the starter battery can lead to an electrical short circuit, increasing the risk of the vehicle catching fire. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of agricult…
The primary (drive) clutch may fail under high-load, low speed conditions (high boost vehicle launch, high RPM belt slip, launching with simultaneous brake and throttle application). This can cause debris and/or clutch components to be ejected from the clutch h…
Fuel may leak from the fuel pump flange assembly. This could cause environmental damage and/or create a fire hazard.
The wiring harness may short-circuit with no circuit protection. This could lead to a fire.
The fuel tank may crack, resulting in a fuel leak. This could lead to a fire.
The brake master cylinder may have been contaminated during manufacturing which may cause the front brake circuit seal to swell, which could cause a vehicle fire.
The vehicle engine can misfire allowing unburned fuel to be routed into the exhaust system, which can cause excessive exhaust heat that may lead to a fire.
Incorrect routing of the petrol tank vent pipe (it is placed too close to the exhaust pipe) may cause a fire.
The alternator regulator could overheat which may lead to a fire.
The heat shield may not adequately protect the cab or cargo box from overheating, which could lead to fire.
The fuse box seal may not adequately prevent water intrusion into the fuse box. This may create an electrical malfunction that could lead to a fire.
The fuel tank vent line may have insufficient clearance to the exhaust pipe causing the fuel tank to build pressure and expand, which may result in a fuel leak.
