The issue
On certain 528E vehicles, at very cold temperatures, when the engine is warmed up, water vapour might condense and freeze in the throttle houseing after a period of steady driving, causing ice build-up around the throttle plate. The ice may prevent the throttle plate from closing when the driver releases the accelerator pedal. Note: This recall supersedes recall V82017.

Sur certaines BMW 528E, par grand froid, de la condensation peut se produire sur les parois de la buse du carburateur pendant le réchauffage du moteur. Si la voiture est ensuite conduite à vitesse régulière, cette condensation peut geler et bloquer le mouvement du papillon des gaz qui reste ouvert quand le conducteur lâche l'accélérateur.
