The issue

VEHICLES WITH DELCO-BOSE SOUND SYSTEMS AND WINDSHIELD WIPER LOW SPEED DELAY PULSE WIPE FEATURES HAVE A NOISE SUPPRESSION CAPACITATOR IN THE MOTOR DELAY REALY WHICH MAY OVERHEAT DURING OPERATION OF THE DELAY FEATURE. THIS COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF WINDSHIELD WIPER OPERATION AND UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS COULD CAUSE AN UNDERHOOD FIRE WHICH COULD SPREAD TO THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT.

Ces véhicules munis d'un système d'insonorisation Delco-Bose et d'essuie-glaces à balayage intermittent, c'est-à-dire qui s'interrompent après cheque balayage à basse vitesse, ont un relais de ralentissement du moteur qui contient un condensateur anti-bruit qui peut surchauffer lorsque le relais fonctionne. Cela risque d'empêcher les essuie-glaces de fonctionner et, dans certaines conditions, de provoquer un incendie sous le capot, qui pourrait se propager à I'habitacle.
