The issue

1981-82 PRESTIGE, CHAMPION, ASTRAL AND LEMIRAGE BUSES. THE THREE BOLTS RETAINING THE STEERING GEARBOX TO ITS SUPPORT COULD BE SHORTER THAN REQUIRED. THE ELASTIC PORTION OF THE NUTS MAY NOT BE SUFFICIENTLY IN CONTACT WITH THE BOLT THREADS AND THIS LOCKING DEVICE MAY BE INADEQUATE. THE NUTS MAY LOOSEN AND RENDER THE ASSEMBLY INOPERATIVE THEREBY CREATING THE POSSIBILITY OF LOSS OF CONTROL AND VEHICLE CRASH.

Description (français)

Il se peut que les trois boulons qui fixent le boîtier de direction à son support soient trop courts. La partie élastique des écrous n'adhère peut-etre pas assez au filetage des boulons, de sorte que les premiers peuvent se desserrer et, en ne remplissant pas leur rôle, provoquer une perte de maîtrise du véhicule et, par conséquent, une collision.
