The issue
THE HARDENED SELF-CANCELLING PAWL OF THE SIGNAL SWITCH CAN CAUSE A GROOVE TO BE WORN IN THE SWITCH CANCELLING RING OF THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS COULD CAUSE THE PAWL TO BIND WHILE THE SWITCH IS ENGAGED AND THE VEHICLE IS NEGOTIATING A TURN AT THE SAME TIME. THERE IS A POSSIBILIITY THAT THIS COULD RESULT IN INCREASED STEERING EFFORT AND THEREFORE ADVERSELY AFFECT THE SAFE OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE.

L'ergot en métal dur de rappel du levier des clignotants peut creuser un sillon sur l'anneau de commande de l'interrupteur monté sur la colonne de direction. L'ergot peut se tordre si le conducteur effectue un virage pendant que les clignotants sont commandés. La direction peut alors devenir difficile à manoeuvrer, ce qui entrave la conduite' du véhicule.
