The issue
VEHICLES WERE BUILT WITH A HOOD LATCH SKID PLATE NOT PROPERLY WELDED TO THE HOOD LATCH SUPPORT ASSEMBLY. HOOD CLOSURES MAY FRACTURE THE SKID PLATE WELDS RENDERING THE SKID PLATE NONFUNCTIONAL AND DISABLING THE SECONDARY HOOD LATCH. HOOD FLY-UP COULD RESULT IF THE PRIMARY HOOD LATCH WERE TO FAIL. CORRECTION: VEHICLES WILL BE INSPECTED AND SCREWS INSTALLED IN THE SKID PLATE IF REQUIRED.
Description (français)
La plaque d'accrochage du verrou de capot est mal soudée au support du verrou. Les soudures peuvent se fracturer à l'usage et rendre la plaque ainsi que le verrou secondaire inutilisables. Si le verrou principal cède, le capot va se détacher.
