The issue

Certain vehicles equipped with automatic transmssions have been manufactured with an electronic fuel injection control unit (ECU) that may cause the engine idle speed to increase by approximately 550 rpm while the vehicle is stopped in gear. Although the vehicle can be held stationary with the brakes, the unexpected high idle speed could create the potential for loss of vehicle control. Correction: The ECU will be replaced.

Certains véhicules équipés d'une boîte de vitesses automatique sont dotés d'un module de commande d'injection électronique qui peut accélérer le ralenti d'environ 550 tr/min lorsque le véhicule est arrêté, la boîte étant embrayée. L'augmentation soudaine du régime peut provoquer une perte de maîtrise du véhicule, même s'il est possible de retenir le véhicule immobile avec les freins.
