The issue
INTERNAL FAILURE OF THE TRW ROSS TAS65 STEERING GEAR MECHANISM CAN OCCUR SUCH THAT THE GEAR BINDS AND/OR IS UNABLE TO TRANSMIT TORQUE BETWEEN THE INPUT AND OUTPUT SHAFT. THIS WOULD RESULT IN COMPLETE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL AND POSSIBLE VEHICLE CRASH. CORRECTION: STEERING BOX WILL BE REPLACED ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES.

Il y a risque de défaillance du mécanisme de direction TRW Ross TA565: le levier de direction peut se bloquer et ne pas transmettre le couple entre l'arbre d'entrée et l'arbre de sortie. Il en pourrait en résulter une perte totale de maîtrise de la direction, voire un accident.
