The issue
THE NUT ATTACHING THE STEERING WHEEL MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TIGHTENED DURING INSTALLATION. THIS COULD ALLOW THE STEERING WHEEL TO SEPARATE FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. SHOULD THIS HAPPEN WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, A CRASH COULD OCCUR WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. CORRECTION: STEERING WHEEL NUT WILL BE CHECKED AND TORQUED TO SPECIFICATION IF NECESSARY.
Description (français)
Il se peut que l'écrou de retenue du volant n'ait pas été suffisamment serré durant le montage; le volant peut donc se détacher de la colonne de direction. Si cela se produit pendant que le véhicule est en mouvement, un accident non prévisible peut s'ensuivre.
