The issue

On certain 318I and 318IS vehicles, under certain conditions, with low ambient temperatures (-10 degrees and colder) and a warmed-up engine, water vapour in the warm air from the crankcase might condense and freeze in the throttle body. This could prevent the throttle plate from closing as the driver releases the gas pedal and might result in loss of vehicle control. Correction: Throttle body heater will be replaced with a modified heater.

Sur certaines BMW 318I et 318IS, dans certaines circonstances, lorsque la température ambiante est basse (-10 C ou moins) et que le moteur est chaud, des vapeurs d'eau en provenance du carter peuvent se condenser et geler dans le carter du papillon des gaz. Cela peut empêcher le clapet du papillon de se refermer lorsque le conducteur cesse d'appuyer sur la pédale et entraîner une perte de contrôle du véhicule. Correction: Le réchauffeur du carter du papillon des gaz devra être remplacé par un modèle différent.
