The issue

On certain 525I, 525IA, 525ITA, 530I, 530IA and 530ITA vehicles, the central locking system double lock feature could unintentionally be engaged with occupants and the door/ignition key inside the car. This could occur if any system components malfunctioned or if the car was locked from the outside (e.g. via the trunk lock), with the front passenger's door opened and driver's door closed, and the open door were then closed by a passenger entering the car with the key but with no means to exit, because the anti-theft features designed into the car would then be activated. In such a case, the doors could not be opened from inside, the windows could not be lowered and the engine could not be started, even with the key in the ignition switch. Correction: Central control Module will be replace with one that will alow window opening with the double lock feature engaged and the key in the ignition. This will allow a window to be lowered, so that windows can be unlocked with the key in the door lock.

Sur certaines BMW 525I, 525IA, 525ITA, 530I, 530IA et 530ITA, la double fermeture du système de verrouillage central peut s'enclencher de façon imprévue lorsque les occupants et la clé de contact/des portes est à l'intérieur du véhicule. Cela peut se produire en cas de mauvais fonctionnement de certains composants du système ou si les portes ont été verrouillées de l'extérieur (par ex. avec la clé du coffre) avec la porte du passager ouverte et celle du conducteur fermée et que la porte ouverte est ensuite fermée par un passager qui entre sans la clé et sans moyen de sortir sinon le système antivol se déclencherait. Dans un tel cas on ne pourrait pas ouvrir les portes de l'extérieur, on ne pourrait même pas ouvrir les fenêtres ni de mettre le moteur en marche, même avec la clé sur le contact. Correction: le bloc de commande centrale doit être remplacé par un autre qui permette l'ouverture de la fenêtre lorsque le mécanisme de double verrouillage est engagé et la clé sur le contact. Cela permettra d'abaisser une vitre lorsque la clé est sur le contact.
