The issue

Note: Vehicles equipped with a Suzuki accessory engine block heater. Certain vehicles may experience a high temperature condition in the silicone connector plug and/or electrical extension cord. Prolonged high temperatures in the plug and cord can result in material degradation and an electrical short circuit. Arcing from a short circuit in the presence of combustible materials could result in an engine compartment fire. Correction: Block heaters will be replaced/refurbished with new units or components incorporating an improved design.

Nota : Vise les véhicules dotés d’un chauffe-bloc fabriqué par Suzuki. Il se peut que les fiches de connexion en silicone ou le cordon électrique ou les deux surchauffent, ce qui peut entraîner une détérioration du matériau et causer un court-circuit. Un court-circuit peut produire des arcs électriques qui, en présence de matières combustibles, peuvent provoquer un incendie dans le compartiment moteur. Correction : Les chauffe-bloc devront être remplacés ou remis à neuf avec des pièces et des composants neufs mieux conçus.
