The issue

On certain vehicles, incorrect weld wire, in combination with the stainless steel shell of the catalytic converter, will cause rusting at the weld joints and premature failure to the converter assembly. Correction: Dealers will replace the catalytic converter.

Sur certain véhicules, l’utilisation d’un métal d’apport impropre sur l’acier inoxydable de l’enveloppe du convertisseur catalytique risque de corroder les joints de soudure et de provoquer la défaillance prématurée du convertisseur catalytique. Correction : Le convertisseur catalytique devra être remplacé sur les véhicules visés.
