The issue

Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 114 - Locking System. It may be possible to rotate the ignition key to the "LOCK" position and remove the key without the shift lever and transmission being in "PARK". Correction: Vehicles will be inspected and if the ignition key can be removed in gear positions other than "PARK", the steering column will be replaced.

Certains véhicules ne satisfont pas aux exigences de la NSVAC 114 - Dispositif antivol.Il se peut que l’on puisse placer la clé de contact à la position de verrouillage (LOCK) puis la retirer de l’allumage sans avoir à placer le levier de vitesses à la position de stationnement (PARK). Correction : Les véhicules devront être inspectés et si la clé de contact peut être retirée alors que le levier est à une position autre que PARK, la colonne de direction devra être remplacée.
