The issue
On certain vehicles, a protective shield, located on the driver's side underbody may interfere with the proper operation of the vehicle park/emergency brake. If this bracket/shield is located too far forward and inboard on the vehicle, or it is not modified in the appropriate manner, it will impede the park/emergency brake bracket and will not allow the park brake to operate properly when leaving the vehicle, and, will not allow the emergency brake to operate properly in the event of an emergency stop situation. Correction: Bracket will be removed and modified so as to prevent interference with the park/emergency brake.

Sur certains véhicules, un écran protecteur installé sous le châssis du côté du conducteur peut nuire au fonctionnement du frein de stationnement. Si l’écran ou son support ont été installés trop à l’avant ou vers l’intérieur du véhicule, ou qu’ils n’ont pas été modifiés de la façon appropriée, ils peuvent entraver le mouvement du support du frein de stationnement ou de secours et empêcher l’application du frein de stationnement quand le conducteur quitte son véhicule ou l’application du frein de secours en cas d’urgence. Correction : Le support devra être enlevé ou modifié de manière à ce qu’il n’entrave plus l’application du frein de stationnement ou de secours.
