The issue

On certain vehicles, the terminals at the headlight switch and wiring harness connector may experience heat damage as a result of overheating. This can cause distortion of the terminal and an open circuit in the instrument panel illumination, parking lamp and tail lamp circuits. Correction: Dealers will install a headlamp switch wiring connector containing bronze terminals and inspect and if necessary, replace the headlamp switch.

Sur certains véhicules, à la suite d’une surchauffe, les bornes de l’interrupteur des phares et du connecteur du faisceau de câbles peuvent se déformer sous l’effet de la chaleur et mettre l’éclairage du tableau de bord, les feux de stationnement et les feux arrière en circuit ouvert. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser des connecteurs dotés de bornes en bronze sur l’interrupteur des phares et vérifier, et remplacer au besoin, l’interrupteur des phares.
