The issue

On certain vehicles, the electrical circuit for the fuel metering pump that supplies fuel to the compact (parking) heater does not contain a rollover protection switch that would shut-off electrical current to the fuel metering pump in the event of a vehicle rollover. In a rollover, with the compact heater in operation, fuel would still be supplied to the heater creating the potential for a vehicle fire. Correction: A rollover protection switch will be installed.

Sur certains véhicules, le circuit électrique de la pompe de dosage qui alimente en carburant la chaufferette (de stationnement) compacte ne comporte pas d’interrupteur qui couperait le courant à la pompe en cas de retournement. S’il y a donc renversement et que la chaufferette compacte fonctionne, la pompe continuera de l’alimenter en carburant, ce qui représente un risque d’incendie. Correction : Un interrupteur de protection en cas de retournement devra être installé.
