The issue
Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 201 - Occupant Protection. The console armrest latch will not withstand the vertical force requirements of the standard. In the event of a crash, the latch may open and the armrest or the contents of the console could injure an occupant. Correction: Console armrest latch will be replaced.

Ces véhicules ne satisfont pas aux exigences de la NSVAC 201 - Protection des occupants. Le loquet de l’accoudoir monté sur la console centrale ne satisfait pas aux exigences en matière de résistance aux tractions verticales prescrites par la norme. En cas d’accident, il se peut donc que le loquet cède et que l’accoudoir ou le contenu de la console blesse les occupants. Correction : Le loquet de l’accoudoir central devra être remplacé.
