The issue

On certain Sidekick Sport vehicles, insufficient strength of the mounting base on the upper end of the front struts can lead to breakage of the mounting bolts that attach the upper end of the front struts to the vehicle body. This condition could adversely affect vehicle handling. Correction: A reinforcement will be added to both front struts, between the mounting base and the vehicle body. In addition, the front strut mounting bases, mounting bolts and nuts, and strut bar stays will be replaced.

Sur certains Sidekick Sport, il se peut que le support de montage qui reçoit l’extrémité supérieure des jambes de force avant ne soit pas suffisamment solide et que les boulons qui retiennent cette dernière au châssis se brisent, ce qui serait préjudiciable au comportement routier du véhicule. Correction : Un renfort devra être posé sur les deux jambes de force avant, entre le support de montage et le châssis. On devra aussi remplacer les supports de montage des jambes de force avant, les écrous et boulons de montage et les étais des jambes de force.
