The issue

Certain vehicles equipped with rear drum brakes may exhibit a condition in which the bolt head(s) on the rear spindle rod may separate. There may be a noticeable rattle in the rear suspension. If the remaining portion of the bolt breaks, the wheel can shift, causing rear steering of the vehicle. This could cause the driver to lose control and a crash could occur without prior warning. Correction: Dealers will replace the rear spindle rod bolts on affected vehicles.

Sur certains véhicules équipés de freins à tambour sur les roues arrière, iIl se peut que les têtes de boulons des tiges de fusées arrière se détachent, ce qui produirait un cliquetis perceptible au niveau de la suspension arrière. Si le reste du boulon venait à briser, la roue pourrait se déplacer et faire dévier l’arrière du véhicule. Il se pourrait alors que le conducteur perde la maîtrise du véhicule et qu’un accident imprévisible s’ensuive. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer les boulons des tiges de fusées arrière sur les véhicules visés.
