The issue

Certain vehicles may have been built with inadequate clearance between the left front brake tube and the power steering hose. This could result in the power steering hose contacting and wearing a hole in the brake tube. Perforation of the left front brake tube will result a partial brake system failure and a loss of braking force at the front wheels. Correction: Brake tube and power steering hose will be inspected for wear and replaced if necessary. A power steering stand off bracket will also be installed to ensure adequate clearance between the brake tube and the power steering hose.

Certains véhicules peuvent avoir été construits sans qu'il y ait un écart suffisant entre la canalisation du frein avant gauche et la conduite de la servodirection. Il se pourrait donc que cette dernière entre en contact avec la canalisation de frein et la perfore par frottement. Une perforation dans la canalisation de frein avant gauche entraînera la défaillance partielle du système de freinage et une perte de la puissance de freinage aux roues avant. Correction : On devra inspecter la canalisation de frein et la conduite de la servodirection pour voir si elles ne sont pas usées et les remplacer le cas échéant. Un support intermédiaire devra être posé sur la servodirection pour qu'il y ait suffisamment d'écart entre la canalisation de frein et la conduite de servodirection.
