The issue

Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 114 - Locking System. An improperly adjusted transaxle park lock cable assembly could allow shifting from the "park" position with the ignition key removed. Correction: Dealers will perform a functional check of the automatic transaxle park lock cable assembly operation, and, if necessary, adjust the cable.

Certains véhicules ne satisfont pas aux exigences de la NSVAC 114 - Dispositif antivol. Le câble qui permet de bloquer la boîte-pont en position de stationnement a été mal réglé et on peut sortir le levier de vitesse de la position de stationnement (PARK) même si la clé de contact est enlevée. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront vérifier le fonctionnement du câble de blocage de la boîte-pont en position de stationnement et, s'il y a lieu, refaire le réglage du câble.
