The issue

On certain vehicles, the original throttle bodies installed allowed a gap between the plate and bore to be built with reduced clearances or too narrow. This reduced clearance allowed the thin film of engine deposits normally present in the throttle body to contact or bridge the gap. If the engine deposits bridged the gap between the throttle plate and bore and hardened, on the initial application of the accelerator pedal after the engine has cooled, the operator would need to apply additional force to the accelerator pedal to break the bridge. This could result in the throttle body sticking closed. Correction: Original throttle bodies will be replaced on affected vehicles.

Sur certains véhicules, les boîtiers d'injection monopoint d'origine, les tolérances de jeu n'ont pas été respectées et l'écart entre le papillon des gaz et l'alésage est trop étroit, ce qui permet à la mince pellicule de dépôts habituellement présente dans le boîtier d'injection de faire le pont ou de combler l'écart. Après que le moteur s'est refroidi, si les dépôts qui comblent l'écart entre le papillon et l'alésage durcissent, il faudra exercer un effort initial supplémentaire sur la pédale d'accélérateur pour briser le pont. Il se pourrait alors que le papillon reste coincé en position fermée. Correction : Les boîtiers d'injection monopoint d'origine devront être remplacés sur les véhicules visés.
