The issue

On certain vehicles, the attachment fasteners for the optional side airbags may not have been tightened properly. This could result in an improper side airbag curtain deployment in certain side crash conditions, which can increase the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the side airbag curtains and tighten the fasteners to the proper torque specifications.

Sur certains véhicules, les dispositifs de fixation des coussins gonflables latéraux optionnels pourraient ne pas avoir été serrées correctement, ce qui pourrait provoquer un déploiement inadéquat du rideau latéral lors de certaines collisions latérales et faire augmenter les risques de blessure pour les occupants. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, s'il y a lieu, remplacer les rideaux latéraux et serrer les dispositifs de fixation au couple de serrage prescrit.
