The issue

Certain police motorcycle were built with a defective wiring harness. The Antilock Brake System (ABS) is wired through the same fuse circuit as the ABS malfunction warning light. As a result, the operator of the motorcycle would lose power to his ABS warning light at the same time he loses power to the ABS brake system if this particular fuse would blow. The gauges of the motorcycle are also wired through this fuse circuit and, should this fuse blow, would also cease to function. Correction: Dealers will replace the wiring harness.

Certaines motocyclettes de police ont un faisceau de câbles défectueux. Les freins anti blocage sont reliés au même fusible que le voyant d'avertissement de mauvais fonctionnement des freins anti blocage. En conséquence, le voyant d'avertissement des freins anti blocage cesserait de fonctionner en même temps que les freins anti blocage si ce fusible grillait. Les jauges de la motocyclette sont aussi reliées à ce fusible et, si le fusible grillait, elles cesseraient aussi de fonctionner. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le faisceau de câbles.
