The issue

Certain vehicles have a non-functioning button with the words "passenger airbag off" etched into it. This button is located, along with an LED light, on a console adjacent to the sunroof. This non-functioning button does not deactivate the passenger side airbag, nor is the LED light an indication that the passenger side airbag has been deactivated. The button is non-functional and cannot be depressed when pushed. Correction: Dealers will replace the console with one which does not contain the non-functioning button and LED light.

Certains véhicules comportent un bouton qui ne fonctionne pas et sur lequel on a gravé : PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF. Ce bouton est situé, ainsi qu'une diode électroluminescente, sur une console située à côté du toit ouvrant. Ce bouton ne désactive pas le coussin gonflable du passager; de plus, la diode électroluminescente n'indique pas que le coussin gonflable du passager est désactivé. Le bouton ne fonctionne pas et on ne peut l'enfoncer lorsqu'on y appuie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer la console par une autre qui ne comporte ni le bouton ni la diode électroluminescente mentionnés ici.
