The issue

On certain vehicles, water may enter between a protective rubber sleeve and the throttle cable towards the rear portion of the cable. If the ambient temperature drops below zero degrees Celsius, the water could freeze, causing the throttle to stick and the vehicle to accelerate unexpectedly. Correction: Dealers will modify the throttle cable rubber sleeve.

Sur certains véhicules, de l'eau pourrait s'infiltrer entre une gaine en caoutchouc et le câble d'accélérateur vers la partie arrière du câble. Si la température ambiante chutait sous le point de congélation, l'eau pourrait geler, ce qui coincerait l'accélérateur et ferait accélérer le véhicule subitement. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront modifier la gaine de caoutchouc du câble d'accélérateur.
