The issue

On certain vehicles, the anchor bolt that is the pivot point for the driveline parking brake shoes may fatigue and break. If the bolt breaks, the park brake may not engage. This could cause the vehicle to roll away without warning and could result in a vehicle crash with the possibility of property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the anchor bolt.

Sur certains véhicules, le boulon d'ancrage qui sert de point d'articulation pour les patins de frein de stationnement de l'arbre de transmission peut s'user par fatigue et se rompre. Si le boulon se brise, il se peut que le frein de stationnement ne s'engage pas et que le véhicule se déplace sans avertissement, ce qui pourrait causer un accident entraînant des dégâts matériels, des blessures ou des pertes de vie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, remplacer le boulon d'ancrage.
