The issue

On certain trucks, when the ignition key is in the 'ON' position, the pre-heater, located in the fuel filter base, is energized. If this pre-heater is energized while maintenance is being performed on the fuel filter, diesel fuel could ignite within the filter housing. A fire within the fuel filter housing may spread possibly resulting in property damage or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the fuel heater assembly.

Sur certains camions, lorsque la clé de contact est en position ON, le dispositif de préchauffage, situé dans la base du filtre à carburant, est sous tension. Si ce dispositif de préchauffage était sous tension pendant une opération de maintenance du filtre à carburant, le carburant diesel pourrait s'enflammer dans le carter du filtre. Un incendie dans le carter du filtre à carburant pourrait s'étendre et endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, remplacer le dispositif de chauffage du carburant.
