The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with a 5.4L engine, the fuel rail cross-over hose may have intermittent, localized carbon material clumps in the hose wall, which could weaken the hose. Over time a fuel leak may develop. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the fuel rail assembly.

Sur certains véhicules munis d'un moteur de 5,4 L, le tuyau de croisement de rampe d'alimentation en carburant pourrait comporter des amoncellements localisés et intermittents de carbone sur la paroi du tuyau, ce qui pourrait affaiblir le tuyau. À la longue, une fuite de carburant pourrait se développer. Une fuite de carburant, en présence d'une source d'inflammation, pourrait causer un incendie, endommageant des biens matériels ou blessant quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer la rampe d'alimentation en carburant.
