The issue

On certain vehicles, the door handle housing embossment retaining the bottom of the interior door handle spring on all side doors may fracture during normal usage, resulting in insufficient spring force to return the handle to the fully closed position. Under certain conditions, this may cause the door latch to open during a side impact crash, which could result in increased risk of fatality or injury to an adjacent occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the interior side door handle springs with updated versions.

Sur certains véhicules, le bossage du corps de la poignée de portière qui retient le bas du ressort de poignée de portière intérieure sur toutes les portières latérales pourrait se fracturer en utilisation normale, ce qui ferait en sorte que la force du ressort serait insuffisante pour que la poignée retourne en position de fermeture complète. Dans certaines conditions, le loquet de portière pourrait s'ouvrir lors d'un impact latéral, ce qui pourrait augmenter les risques de décès ou de blessures pour un occupant adjacent. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer les ressorts de poignée de portière intérieure par des ressorts d'une version à jour.
