The issue

Certain vehicles fail to conform with CMVSS 118 - Power-operated Roof Panels. The subject vehicles may exhibit a condition where the sunroof can be closed after the ignition is turned off and the doors are opened. This can only occur if the engine is turned off and a front door opened, all within 60-seconds of starting the vehicle. Once 60-seconds elapses from starting of the engine, this condition will no longer exist. For example, if the engine is started and run for 40 seconds, and the operator turns it off and exits the vehicle, the condition will only exist for the remaining 20 seconds. Correction: No remedial action is required due to the unlikely-ness of such an occurrence.

Certains véhicules ne satisfont pas aux exigences de la NSVAC 118 - Systèmes de glace, de séparation et de toit ouvrant à commande électrique. Le toit ouvrant des véhicules visés pourrait être fermé après l'arrêt du moteur et l'ouverture des portes. Cela ne pourra se produire que si le moteur est arrêté et qu'une portière avant est ouverte, et cela moins de 60 secondes après le démarrage du véhicule. Soixante secondes après le démarrage du véhicule, ce problème ne pourra plus survenir. Par exemple, si on démarre le moteur et qu'on le laisse fonctionner pendant 40 secondes, et que le conducteur l'arrête et sort du véhicule, le problème ne durera que pour les 20 secondes restantes. Correction : Aucune mesure correctrice ne doit être prise à cause de la faible probabilité qu'un tel problème se produise.
