The issue
On certain motorhomes equipped with a Norcold Inc. refrigerator, a fatigue crack in the section of the cooling unit which contains the refrigerant could allow the liquid solution to slowly leak. If a leak occurs and the refrigerator continues to be operated after solution circulation has ceased, hydrogen gas may be expelled and can be ignited. This could result in a fire, causing property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the refrigerators cooling unit.

Sur certaines autocaravanes munies d'un réfrigérateur de marque Norcold Inc., une fissure de fatigue dans la section de l'unité de refroidissement qui contient le frigorigène pourrait permettre à la solution liquide de fuir lentement. Si une fuite se produisait et que le réfrigérateur continuait à être utilisé après que la circulation de la solution ait cessé, de l'hydrogène gazeux pourrait s'échapper et s'enflammer. Cela pourrait causer un incendie, endommager des biens matériels, blesser quelqu'un ou entraîner des pertes de vie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer l'unité de réfrigération du réfrigérateur.
