The issue
On certain motorcycles, the mounting bracket for the add-on accessory top case may fracture with use. Should this occur, the top case may separate from the motorcycle while underway, creating an obstacle for other road users. As well, a top case unexpectedly falling off could cause an upset in the balance of the motorcycle, which could result in a crash causing personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the top case mounting bracket.

Sur certaines motocyclettes, le support de fixation du coffre arrière pourrait se fracturer à l'usage. Si cela se produisait, le coffre arrière pourrait se détacher de la motocyclette pendant que celle-ci roule, ce qui créerait un obstacle pour les autres usagers de la route. De plus, un coffre arrière qui tomberait subitement de la motocyclette pourrait déséquilibrer la motocyclette, ce qui pourrait causer un accident, blesser quelqu'un ou entraîner des pertes de vie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le support de fixation du coffre arrière.
