The issue

On certain trailers, the wire harness that connects to the tow vehicle is not equipped with an in-line fusible link. If an improperly wired vehicle is connected to the trailer wiring harness, there is a possibility of electrical short which could cause a fire resulting in property damage or injury to consumer and/or livestock. Correction: Dealers will install an in-line fuse link.

Sur certaines remorques, les faisceaux de câbles qui se branchent sur les véhicules tracteurs ne sont pas munis d'un élément fusible sur conducteur. Si un véhicule mal branché est raccordé au faisceau de câbles de la remorque, il y a risque de choc électrique qui pourrait provoquer un incendie et endommager des biens matériels ou blesser un consommateur ou du bétail. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser un élément fusible sur conducteur sur les remorques visées.
