The issue

On certain motorhomes, a section of hard plastic evaporative emission line near the EVAP system canister may be kinked and completely restricted. This may effect a pressure increase in the EVAP lines and fuel tank in high ambient temperature, causing a release of excess vapours when the gas cap is removed. Under certain conditions, excess vapours and fuel may be sprayed from the fuel camp, possibly resulting in personal injury. In the presence of an ignition source, this could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the kinked evaporative line.

Sur certaines autocaravanes, une section de canalisation d'évaporation de carburant en plastique dur située près de la cartouche de système EVAP pourrait être tortillée et complètement bouchée. Cela pourrait produire une augmentation de pression dans les canalisations EVAP et le réservoir de carburant lorsque la température ambiante est élevée, ce qui entraînerait un relâchement du surplus de vapeur lors du retrait du bouchon de réservoir de carburant. Dans certaines conditions, du carburant et des vapeurs en excès pourraient être projetés lorsqu'on enlève le bouchon, ce qui pourrait blesser quelqu'un. En présence d'une source d'inflammation, cela pourrait provoquer un incendie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, remplacer la canalisation d'évaporation tortillée.
