The issue
On certain snowmobiles, the insulation for the engine block heater power cord may not be rated for extreme cold environments. As such, the insulation could crack, exposing wiring and creating an electrical shock hazard to anyone attempting to plug the power cord into a receptacle, or coming in contact with the vehicle while the power cord is plugged in. This could result in personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the block heater assembly.

Sur certaines motoneiges, l'isolation du cordon d'alimentation du chauffe-moteur pourrait ne pas être adaptée aux froids extrêmes. Donc, l'isolation pourrait se fissurer, ce qui exposerait les fils et produirait un risque de choc électrique pour quiconque tenterait de brancher le cordon d'alimentation dans un réceptacle ou toucherait au véhicule pendant que le cordon d'alimentation est branché. Cela pourrait blesser quelqu'un ou entraîner des pertes de vie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, remplacer le chauffe-moteur.
