The issue

On certain motorhomes, the propane tank mounting bracket may have been incorrectly welded during vehicle assembly. Should the weld fail, the propane tank can tip or fall. An errant propane tank could strike a vehicle, property, or a bystander. A propane gas leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire or an explosion, which could cause property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, repair weld the bracket.

Sur certaines autocaravanes, le support de fixation du réservoir de propane pourrait avoir été mal soudé pendant le montage du véhicule. Si la soudure faisait défaut, le réservoir de propane pourrait s'incliner ou tomber. Un réservoir de propane non fixé pourrait aller percuter un véhicule, des biens matériels ou une personne se trouvant à proximité. Une fuite de propane, en présence d'une source d'inflammation, pourrait provoquer un incendie ou une explosion, ce qui pourrait endommager des biens matériels, blesser quelqu'un ou entraîner des pertes de vies. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, resouder le support.
