The issue

On certain vehicles, an incorrect weld on the steering shaft tube assembly may allow the splined tube and the non-splined tube to rotate relative to one another during a low speed, high torque turn, possibly resulting in a separation of the two tubes. This could result in a loss of steering control and a crash cause property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the steering shaft assembly.

Sur certains véhicules, une soudure incorrecte sur le tube de l'arbre de direction pourrait permettre au tube cannelé et au tube non cannelé de pivoter l'un par rapport à l'autre lors d'un virage à basse vitesse à couple élevé, ce qui pourrait causer la séparation des deux tubes. Cela pourrait entraîner une perte de contrôle de la direction et un accident endommageant des biens matériels, blessant quelqu'un ou entraînant des pertes de vies. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, remplacer l'arbre de direction.
