The issue

On certain vehicles, a bolt used to attach an interior trim piece to either the driver's or passenger's side A-Pillar may not have been installed during vehicle assembly. In the event of a crash resulting in side curtain airbag deployment the trim piece may not remain properly secured to the A-pillar, therefore increasing the risk of personal injury to the driver and/or front seat passenger. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, install a bolt to the A-pillar trim panels.

Sur certains véhicules, un boulon utilisé pour fixer une pièce de garniture intérieure au montant avant du côté du conducteur ou du côté du passager pourrait ne pas avoir été posé. En cas d'accident provoquant le gonflage d'un rideau latéral, la pièce de garniture pourrait ne pas demeurer adéquatement fixée au montant avant, ce qui augmenterait les risques de blessures pour le conducteur ou le passager avant. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, poser un boulon sur les panneaux de garniture de montant avant.
