The issue

On certain garbage and recycling trucks, the joystick bracket located in the armrest could contact the buckle portion of the seatbelt and damage it. If the buckle is damaged, the seatbelt may not function as originally intended and, in a crash, could result in personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the seatbelt buckle assembly, and install a deflector.

Sur certains véhicules, le support du manche à balai situé sur l'appuie-bras pourrait toucher au réceptacle de la ceinture de sécurité et l'endommager. Si le réceptacle était endommagé, la ceinture de sécurité pourrait ne pas fonctionner comme prévu lors d'un accident qui pourrait blesser quelqu'un ou entraîner des pertes de vies. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer les réceptacles endommagés et poser un déflecteur.
