The issue

On certain vehicles, due to a problem during the airbag inflator manufacturing process, some front passenger airbag inflators may be missing components. If a vehicle with an affected airbag is involved in a crash where front passenger-side airbag deployment is warranted, increased internal pressure might create an irregular deployment which could increase the risk of front passenger injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace the front passenger-side airbag module.

Dans certains véhicules, à cause d'un problème qui se produit pendant le processus de génération de gaz du coussin de sécurité gonflable, certains générateurs de gaz de coussin gonflage pour passager avant pourraient avoir des composants manquants. Si un véhicule ayant un coussin gonflable affecté est impliqué dans une collision où le coussin gonflable du passager avant est conçu pour se déployer, une pression interne accrue pourrait créer un déploiement irrégulier et pourrait faire augmenter le risque d'une blessure au passager avant. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et remplacer le module du coussin gonflable du passager avant au besoin.
