The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with an optional dual-fill 75 or 100 gallon fuel tank, the fuel cap assembly used to seal the unused side of the dual-fill fuel tank may have been manufactured with a hose material that does not meet design specifications. During normal usage the hose may deteriorate and cause a fuel leak. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the original fuel fill cap assembly with an updated version.

Sur certains véhicules munis d'un réservoir à carburant double optionnel de 75 ou 100 gallons, le bouchon utilisé pour sceller le côté inutilisé du réservoir à carburant double a été produit à partir d'un matériau qui ne respectait pas les spécifications de conception. Lors d'un usage normal, le matériau pourrait se détériorer et entraîner des fuites de carburant. Une fuite de carburant en présence d'une source d'inflammation pourrait causer un incendie, endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer les bouchons de réservoir de carburant d'origine par des bouchons à jour.
