The issue

On certain vehicles, the passenger-side support member (in the engine compartment) may have been manufactured incorrectly. As such, the frame member may have developed a crack during the forming process. This could have an effect on the front structure, reducing crash performance of the vehicle, thereby increasing the risk of occupant injury during a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect the passenger-side support member. If a crack is found, Volvo will take the vehicle out of service and replace it with a new one of equal specification.

Sur certains véhicules, la pièce de soutien du côté du passager (dans le compartiment moteur) pourrait avoir été mal fabriquée. La pièce du châssis pourrait s'être fissurée pendant le formage. Cela pourrait avoir un effet sur la structure avant, ce qui diminuerait le rendement du véhicule lors d'un accident et augmenterait les risques que les occupants soient blessés lors d'un accident. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter la pièce de soutien du côté du passager. S'ils trouvent une fissure, Volvo devra retirer le véhicule de la circulation et le remplacer par un véhicule neuf ayant des spécifications équivalentes.
