The issue
On certain fifth wheel trailers equipped with an Atwood cooking appliance, the burner tube leading from the gas manifold to the burner heads has a depression or 'kink' in the exterior bend restricting proper airflow and gas mixture. This could result in carbon monoxide poisoning of vehicle occupants. Correction: Owners are advised to contact Atwood Mobile Products - the appliance manufacturer - to have the burner tube replaced. Sur certaines caravanes à sellette munies d'un appareil de cuisson Atwood, le tube du brûleur qui va du collecteur de gaz jusqu'aux têtes de brûleur comporte une dépression ou un tortillement dans le coude extérieur, ce qui diminue la qualité du mélange d'air et de gaz. Cela pourrait causer un empoisonnement au monoxyde de carbone des occupants du véhicule.
