The issue
On certain vehicles, the fuel system software may not be compatible with the fuel pump assembly. Insufficient fuel transfer could cause engine hesitation or stalling. Engine stalling would result in loss of propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will update the engine control module software.

Sur certains véhicules, le logiciel du circuit à carburant pourrait ne pas être compatible avec la pompe à carburant. Un transfert de carburant insuffisant pourrait faire en sorte que le moteur hésite ou cale. Si le moteur calait, cela entraînerait une perte de propulsion, ce qui, en conjonction avec la densité de la circulation, l'état de la route et les réactions du conducteur, pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident, endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un.
