The issue

On certain school buses, the wiring harness for the flashing lights (used while passengers are boarding or leaving the vehicle) may be undersized and could fail. Failure of the lights to illuminate would render a stopped bus less visible to other road users, which could increase the risk of a child or pedestrian being struck by a passing motorist, causing personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will add a 14-gauge wiring harness and relay between the switch and control board.

Sur certains autobus scolaires, le faisceau de câbles des feux clignotants (utilisés lorsque les passagers montent dans le véhicule ou en descendent) pourrait être trop petit et faire défaut. Si les feux ne s'allumaient pas, cela rendrait un autobus arrêté moins visible pour les autres usagers de la route, ce qui pourrait augmenter les risques qu'un enfant ou un piéton se fasse blesser ou tuer par un véhicule. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront ajouter un relais et un faisceau de câbles de calibre 14 entre l'interrupteur et le panneau de commande.
