The issue
On certain trailers equipped with an extended hitch, a frame section (near the front cross member) could fatigue and fail. This could allow the towed unit to detach from the towing vehicle, possibly striking another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: ATC authorized repair facilities will reinforce the hitch frame assembly. Owners may contact ATC at 1.877.441.2440 for further information.

Sur certaines remorques munies d'un coupleur d'attelage allongée, une section du châssis (près de la traverse avant) pourrait se fissurer par fatigue, faire défaut, permettre à l'unité remorquée de se détacher du véhicule tracteur et aller percuter un autre véhicule, un objet stationnaire ou une personne se trouvant à proximité, ce qui pourrait endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les installations de réparation autorisées par ATC devront renforcer le châssis de la sellette. Les propriétaires pourraient contacter ATC au 1-877-441-2440 pour de plus amples renseignements.
